Recommend these check cords to anyone with a four legged buddy. They work amazing out in the field doing field or hunt testing. I'm so glad we came across these. The quality is amazing and far surpasses the other imitation stuff on the market. Can't go wrong.

The tab of biothane past the rivets where the handle is always just a little too long and grabs grass when I let the leash drag on the ground. I have to trim it so it doesn't do this. If I don't trim the excess, the rivet of the handle will get forced open and I will end up replacing the rivets sooner than I like.
Thank you for your feedback, Emily! We will look into this issue. In the meantime, if you need a rivet replaced, please return your leash to us and we will apply a new one to your line. Please continue to inspect your leash on a regular basis; any tab remaining past the rivet will collect debris while being dragged, and if you cut the tab too short the rivet could tear through the BioThane. I love that the line doesn't snag weeds/seeds and it doesn't matter if my dog goes in the creek with it or even pees on it. lol
Thank you, Marge! I felt the same way as you about our original Palomine Line. It was a game-changer for me because it didn't snag or collect pointy things that then migrated to my hands. It is a bonus to be able to easily clean BioThane when it gets dirty!
While my dog is great on recall, I often need to stop him from eating what comes in his path, and so I hope this helps. I haven't tried it in the woods yet, but have been learning to use it on grass :)

I absolutely love this product, this is my second one. My first one is still going strong after two years, but it is longer and I bought this one with specific purpose in mind. This leash is worth every penny I spend on it! When hiking in the winter snow, it never gets wet and can easily be put in my pack or pocket.

This is our second BioThane leash, on is 10' for around the house and the other is 50' so we can go on walks in the woods and be sort of semi-off-leash. They work so well! I am a therapist and sometimes my not-yet-fully-trained-therapy-dog hangs out in the office with me, and I need something flexible and low profile. They have been perfect for us.

Biothane is new to me and I like the feel of it, my pup occassionally gets mouthywith it, and it seems to be durable as well.
Nicholas, thank you for your review; we're happy you like the feel of BioThane. It is easier on the hands than other leash materials. Do watch your pup's mouthy-ness. BioThane is not chew-proof. Until your pup has finished teething and learned not to mouth a leash, you will want to watch him/her closely. Best of luck with all your dog adventures!
This is my 3rd purchase and I noticed that this line has a little more texture than ones I purchased previously. Makes it slightly less slippery !
Thank you for your review and feedback. We appreciate it! There are slight variances in all production runs of BioThane. If your leash is slippery, particularly in wet conditions, try washing your leash or long line in mild dishwashing liquid mixed with warm water. We suggest using the grease-fighting kind to remove residual oils from the manufacturing process, as well as sunscreen and/or lotion. You will want to rinse your leash really well afterwards and wipe it dry. Kind regards to you and yours!
